Cardiff have confirmed the release of little-used keeper Lee Kendall, who leaves Ninian Park for a spell in Division Three with Shrewsbury.
Kendall has swiftly sorted out a two-year deal at Gay Meadow and will now help Kevin Ratcliffe's men as they aim for a decent season in the lower division.
The 21-year-old Newport-born shot-stopper has previously played for Crystal Palace, where he was a trainee, and Barry Town on loan. He will be understudy to Ian Dunbavin at Shrewsbury, though Ratcliffe says he will push their first-choice keeper hard for the number one jersey.
Meanwhile, the Bluebirds have also waved farewell to Josh Low this week, temporarily at least, as he has joined Oldham Athletic on an initial week-long loan.
